Business Operations Assistant/Back-End Assistant

About the Company:

Our client manages multiple e-commerce businesses and product-based accounts across direct-to-consumer and wholesale operations. Their team relies on structured reporting, operational follow-up, and strong coordination to keep client accounts moving efficiently.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Back-End Assistant to support an Account Manager across several business accounts. You will manage and organize data, maintain accurate records, distribute and curate existing business reports, and follow up on key operational activities.

This role is ideal for a proactive, solution-oriented professional who can work independently, understand business data, and resolve blockers without needing step-by-step direction.

You Will:

  • Efficiently manage and organize data to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and clear documentation.
  • Support back-end operational tasks across multiple e-commerce business accounts.
  • Use advanced Excel functions and formulas to analyze data and support existing reporting workflows.
  • Prepare, distribute, and help interpret sales, advertising, profit, and financial reports.
  • Use Claude to support analysis, reporting, and day-to-day problem-solving.
  • Maintain meticulous records and documentation for operational tasks and business processes.
  • Follow up on shipments, warehouse activity, pickups, and outstanding tasks.
  • Coordinate with team members to keep processes moving and improve data-related workflows.
  • Use project-management tools to track work, deadlines, updates, and follow-ups.
  • Identify issues, explore solutions, and escalate appropriately when needed.
About You:

Your Background:

  • Experience in operations, back-end support, account coordination, reporting, or data management.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with Claude or other AI tools for analysis and workflow support.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with project-management or organizational tools such as Teamwork or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of business reporting, including sales, advertising, costs, shipping, and profitability.
  • Experience in a product-based, e-commerce, retail, wholesale, or B2C business environment.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
  • A self-starter who takes ownership and solves problems before escalating.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to follow up professionally and use good judgment around urgency and escalation.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and easy to work with.

  • Experience with Amazon, Mercado Libre, eBay, Shopify, or other e-commerce platforms.
