You will assist in lacing, starting, and stopping the machine to run material through for production while maintaining the correct line speed. Your duties will include inspecting, repairing, and staging rolls for production, which involves bringing rolls from the storage area, removing busted edges with a sheet stripper, and sanding the wheel grind. The facility emits a strong asphalt smell due to the product and is not climate-controlled, which can lead to hot conditions during the summer. Work hours vary throughout the week, with shifts on Monday from 10am to 6pm, Tuesday and Wednesday from 6am to 6pm, Thursday from 6am to 2pm, and Fridays from 7am to 3pm during the shutdown period. During a 12-hour shift, employees are entitled to two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute lunch break, while an 8-hour shift includes one 15-minute break and one 30-minute lunch break.</p><strong>Job Type & Location</strong><p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chambersburg, PA.</p><strong>Pay and Benefits</strong><p>The pay range for this position is $16.75 - $17.99/hr. <p> Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.<p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
