What You Will Do

What You Will Do
QA Leadership & Pod Ownership
  • Lead and develop QA teams, aligning their work with project goals, quality standards and development priorities.
  • Own QA planning and delivery across your pods, and communicate quality risks and trade-offs to stakeholders.
Automation Strategy & Management
  • Lead the automation strategy, roadmap and backlog, prioritizing by risk and ROI so Nunu AI delivers sustainable, high-value coverage.
  • Integrate automation into build and release pipelines with Engineering, and keep manual testing where automation doesn’t fit.
Services QA Management
  • Own the QA approach for backend functionality, integrations, scalability and resilience, working with Engineering to make services testable and quality measurable.
  • Cover accounts, authentication, payments, analytics pipelines and admin tools, plus load and disaster recovery testing.
Environment & Release Readiness
  • Ensure Services QA has reliable environments, including the Beta Environment, so backend changes are validated before deployment.
  • Own release process testing and give go/no-go recommendations backed by clear evidence and risks.

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, software development or a related field.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing QA teams or technical testing functions, and 2+ years leading testing initiatives across development and release cycles.
  • Proven experience managing test automation, including strategy, backlog ownership, maintenance, delivery and measurable return on investment.
  • Strong understanding of backend and API testing, service integrations, data validation and the risks associated with accounts, analytics and payments.
  • Experience overseeing performance, load or scalability testing, and working with Engineering on service reliability and recovery testing.
  • Working knowledge of test environments, cloud-hosted services, build and release pipelines, and deployment validation.
  • Strong grounding in risk-based testing, defect management and QA tooling such as Jira, test management systems and reporting dashboards.
  • Technical judgement to review testing and automation approaches, challenge assumptions and communicate effectively with engineers.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage people, capacity, priorities and costs, with strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting PC and Mobile releases and live-operation workflows, including patch validation, incident response and ongoing quality monitoring.

Experience with AI-assisted test automation, particularly Nunu AI, would be an advantage.
