WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a service-minded, relationship-driven, and product-passionate teammate to support Jordan Sports Marketing’s basketball athlete and team servicing work. This person will help deliver premium, white glove experiences that strengthen athlete relationships and bring Jordan Brand’s athlete-first strategy to life.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As the Jordan Sports Marketing Account Specialist for Basketball, you will play a key role in athlete service, daily relationship support, product allocation, budget tracking, and delivery of goods for assigned basketball athletes and team assets. The assets you support will have high visibility, elevated service expectations, and meaningful brand impact.

You will help manage end-to-end contractual servicing needs with assigned basketball partners, including daily communication, financial tracking, product allocations, delivery coordination, and follow-through against Sports Marketing contractual obligations.

You will partner with Jordan Sports Marketing field representatives, Athlete Experience, Athlete Insights, Brand Marketing, Product, Finance, Operations, and other cross-functional teammates to ensure athletes receive the right product, at the right place, at the right time, and within budget.

You will help capture athlete product feedback, preferences, service needs, and relationship context and share those insights with the right partners across Jordan Brand. This role is not simply about fulfilling requests. It is about building meaningful athlete connections through product, service, and consistent representation of Jordan Brand at every touchpoint.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

White Glove Athlete Service

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Jordan Sports Marketing representatives and external partners to fulfill basketball athlete and team product needs.
  • Deliver exceptional, personalized service for assigned basketball athletes and team assets, supporting both on-court and off-court product needs.
  • Support premium athlete experiences across key relationship moments, including product seeding, brand moments, integrations, events, and athlete journey touchpoints.
  • Build meaningful athlete connections through thoughtful service, proactive communication, and strong follow-through.
  • Represent Jordan Brand through every athlete touchpoint with a service-first mindset and attention to detail.
Product, Styling & Inventory Management
  • Act as a product resource for basketball service needs, high-visibility moments, seasonal product priorities, and athlete-relevant assortments.
  • Provide white glove product curation and styling recommendations for athletes in partnership with Brand, Athlete Experience, Athlete Insights, Product, and Lead Service Rep teams.
  • Inventory, organize, allocate, and ship promotional product for assigned athletes and team assets, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Track product usage, athlete needs, preferences, and product availability to support proactive planning and service excellence.
  • Use athlete feedback, style preferences, product insights, and sport culture context to inform servicing recommendations and future planning.
Operational Excellence & Systems Management
  • Set up and maintain new accounts within Nike systems, including Aravo and Locker, ensuring accurate and timely data management.
  • Manage product orders and support accurate forecasting by analyzing trends, athlete needs, and product usage.
  • Track inventory and ensure product distribution aligns with Jordan Brand priorities, contractual commitments, business strategy, and athlete needs.
  • Maintain and organize product storage areas to enable seamless product access, delivery, reporting, and athlete servicing.
  • Manage budgeted product allotment with accuracy, discipline, and clear communication.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to deliver athlete, brand, and business moments including seeding, photo shoots, product integration, events, and key activations.
  • Partner with Athlete Experience, Athlete Insights, Jordan Sports Marketing field representatives, Brand Marketing, Product, Finance, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to support premium athlete service.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for service innovation and resolve challenges with speed, clarity, and accountability.
  • Communicate athlete needs, product feedback, service updates, and relationship context to appropriate internal partners.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment through strong communication, follow-through, and partnership.

  • Support Jordan Sports Marketing’s Fewer, Better & Deeper approach by building meaningful relationships and premium product experiences.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH You will report to the Director of Operations while working across the Jordan Sports Marketing matrix. Daily communication with Jordan Sports Marketing field representatives, Athlete Experience, Athlete Insights, Brand Marketing, Product, Finance, Operations, and other cross-functional partners will be critical to success in this role and to the team’s broader athlete-first service model.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Business, Sports Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of successful experience in Sports Marketing, marketing, talent, production management, operations, product servicing, or a related function building relationships to support business and marketing strategies.
  • 3+ years of account, service, operations, or project management experience.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentation; PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Office, and Mac Keynote experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP is critical.
  • Strong understanding of Jordan Brand product, apparel and footwear product processes, basketball culture, sport, fashion, style, and the broader sports and fitness industry.
  • Ability to handle high-profile communication, athlete service needs, and contractual obligations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage budgeted product allotment.
  • Ability to collaborate with a wide range of partners including Product, Finance, Operations, field staff, Athlete Experience, Athlete Insights, Brand Marketing, Communications, and program administrators.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive macro and micro priorities and communicate updates with clarity, including difficult news when necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail and passion for basketball, sport, athletes, product, style, and culture.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
